Spartans find winning feeling

GRUNDY CENTER – Grundy Center picked up their first win of the season, a 45-16 win over BCLUW at Spartan Stadium Friday night, and they couldn’t have picked a better night to do it in a Class A District 4 win that capped off their Homecoming week activities.
The Spartans (1-5 overall, 1-2 District A-4) focused on their ground game, compiling 436 yards of rushing including six touchdown runs on the way to the win.
“I’m happy for our kids because they have been working for roughly the past nine weeks and we finally get in the win column,” Grundy Center head coach Brent Thoren said. “We have been making progress throughout the year and I see it every day, but to get that ‘W’ is great for the kids, especially on Homecoming.”
