State cross country results

Results of the 2018 IAHSAA/IGHSAU Co-Ed State Cross Country Meet at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course/Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge:


Class 3A


Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR senior Aubrie Fisher earned a medal with a 7th-place overall finish in 19:10.6. Sophomore teammate Ellie Meyer, an Iowa Falls-Alden student, was 31st overall in 20:15.


Class 2A


Dike-New Hartford finished 12th out of 15 teams in the 2A girls race. The Wolverines scored 246 points, led by Taylor Kvale's medalist performance, with the freshman finishing in 13th overall in 20:02.


Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck's Taylor Stahl was 24th in her state cross country meet debut, running the course in 20:39.


D-NH girls team scores (placement reflects finish for the team's points, not overall placement) – 9. Taylor Kvale 20:02; 49. Alexis Jensen 22:09; 56. Kaity Houts 22:17; 62. Rachel Wardell 22:31; 70. Zoie Callan 22:48; 94. Sierra Loger 24:14; 98. Jadyn Bennett 24:40.


The GC/G-R boys were 12th in the team standings with 258 points. Derek Ciddio was 36th overall in his final high school cross country race, finishing in a time of 17:39.

Dike-New Hartford's Sawyer Loger finished 79th overall in the boys race, completing the course in 18:21.


Class 1A


The BCLUW boys finished 11th as a team with 240 points, led by senior Caleb Silver who scored a medal in his final cross country race as a Comet with a 6th-place overall finish in 16:45.
