During a brief meeting on Monday morning, the Grundy County Board of Supervisors approved adding two new stop signs in rural areas of the county.

One of the signs will be located at the intersection of 110th Street and P Avenue, and the other is at O Avenue and 130th Street, both south of Parkersburg. A motion to approve the move passed 4-0 (Barb Smith was absent). County Engineer Gary Mauer also reported that the county has put in a grant request for lighting at the intersection of T29 and D55 between Beaman and Grundy Center, known as “Kitzman’s Corner,” after Supervisor Jim Ross reported issues with vehicles ignoring the stop sign on D55.
