Supervisors approve family cemetery request

The Grundy County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve second and third readings of an ordinance change that will allow for the creation of a family cemetery on a property north of Wellsburg during its regular meeting on Monday morning.
           
The Trask family, of which two members were in attendance, made the request, and county attorney Erika Allen was not on hand to answer questions as she had another commitment at the courthouse. The supervisors initially discussed the matter last week and approved a first reading, and motions to pass a second reading and suspend the rules to adopt the ordinance—which reclassifies the land in question from A-1 to A-2—went off without a hitch.
