Supervisors approve T29 as official Highway 14 detour

During a brief regular meeting on Monday morning, the Grundy County Board of Supervisors officially approved county road T-29 as the official detour for travellers along Highway 14 when it closes for improvements in 2020.
           
The move is mostly a formality, but it does allow the county to recoup some funds from the state Department of Transportation (DOT) for wear and tear. Assistant county engineer Steve Cox told the board that it was the smart thing to do and went on to describe the project in more detail.
