A former employee of the Grundy Family Aquatic Center has been charged with stealing over $600 in cash from the concession stand while he was working there last summer.

Cayontae Depree Lee Guzzle, 18 and now living in Cedar Rapids, was arrested on a Grundy County warrant in Dike on January 1 and charged with Third Degree Theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. The pool’s management noticed money missing between June and August, and according to a criminal complaint, a surveillance camera captured Guzzle taking some of it.

The defendant posted a $250 cash bond on January 2 and was released. A trial date has not yet been set, and a motion to withdraw John Standafer as Guzzle’s legal counsel was filed on January 4.
