Two Reinbeck residents killed in fatal accident

HUDSON - Two people from Reinbeck were killed in a single-vehicle crash in rural Hudson on Sunday morning.
According to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office, those involved in the crash have been identified as 33-year-old Kimberly Hoskins of Reinbeck, and 32-year-old Tobi Vanhauen, also of Reinbeck.
The crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, near the intersection of Eldora Road and Zaneta Road in rural Hudson.
According to a press release from the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office, evidence indicates that Hoskins was driving the vehicle, and Vanhauen was a passenger. The vehicle was headed westbound when it left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to a rest in a cornfield.
Both Hoskins and Vanhauen were pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation and autopsies will be performed by the Iowa State Medical Examiner in Ankeny.
