AGWSR junior Taryan Barrick was selected to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association's All-State Softball Teams as a first-team pick in Class 1A, with teams released for all five classes last Thursday morning.

Barrick is one of four Cougars with all-state recognition, including second-teamer MaKenna Kuper, third-team pick Ali Gerbracht and honorable mention recipient Rachel Sicard.

In Class 2A, BCLUW's Kiersten Kruse was a second-team pick, with Comet teammates Bailey Ashton and Parker Scurr earning honorable mention. Grundy Center's Landry and Kyah Luhring both earned honorable mention.
