Wellsburg native is new Kling Memorial Library director

GRUNDY CENTER — Lindsey Engelkes had her dream job ... only to let it go for something she feels will be even better.
Last week the Wellsburg native took over as director of the Kling Memorial Library, replacing Molly Mauer who was named assistant director at the library in Johnston earlier this summer.
“I was really uncertain about taking this job, not because I didn’t want it, but because I loved my position in Steamboat,” she said. “I had invested my heart and soul into that little library over there and I wasn’t sure if I was ready to move on from that or not.
“Once I really thought about it — I sat in the library one day and just thought —I realized that this is what I really want to do as a career and I thought this is the next step that I should take,” she said.
