Gladbrook-Reinbeck junior William Kiburis earned a first-team spot on the Class 1A all-state basketball teams released by the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association on Tuesday.

This is his second all-state selection after getting a third-team slot last season.

Kiburis averaged 21.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.1 blocks per game for the Rebels this season.

Ames’ Tamin Lipsey was selected as Mr. Basketball.
