Grundy Center Chamber of Commerce members cut the ribbons on the new Crazy Daisies location as well as at the new Lillians store. Both are located in the 600 block of G Avenue.
Lillians, located in the former Stylish Living location, brings a wide selection of new women’s wear downtown while Crazy Daisy’s brings a selection of primitive country home decor.

Council corrects long-standing zoning issue

GRUNDY CENTER — The Grundy Center City Council changed a long-standing zoning law that had been used incorrectly during Monday’s regular Council meeting.

Joann McKinnon, owner of Park Place, urged Council to make the change.
“It has been run as commercial for the past 59 years; it is only right that the Grundy Center City Council make it right,” she said.

“The main idea is that we have the kids at 60-degree angles at their hips so their knees are angled down,” she said.
