Frost promoted to Grundy Center police chief

GRUNDY CENTER — Grundy Center did not need to look far for its new police chief. In fact, his office was right down the hall from the mayor’s office.
Monday the Grundy Center City Council approved Mayor Brian Buhrow’s appointment of long-time department captain Doug Frost to serve as the city’s new police chief.
“I think I’m ready for it,” Frost said.
“I think I know the community and the people know me,” he said. “I’ve gotten a lot of postitive feedback from the public saying I should be chief.”
