Fourteen players score as D-NH boys dominate opener

DIKE — During preseason, Dike-New Hartford boys’ basketball coach Greg Moore lauded the depth his team could have this year. If last Tuesday’s opener is any indication, Moore’s thoughts could be on the mark as 14 players scored in the Wolverines’ 80-30 season-opening victory over West Marshall.
The Wolverines jumped ahead 23-5 after a quarter and never looked back, leading 45-20 at halftime and 61-25 after three quarters.

“We are excited to be able to provide the subscribers of the Record with a bigger, stronger newspaper,” said Ryan Harvey, President and CEO of Mid-America Publishing. “Losing an identity in the community is never easy, however, we believe, after a lot of heavy consideration, that by merging the two papers into one, the positives far outweigh the negatives.”
