Carol Severance, 95, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the Western Home Communities Windridge. Services were June 28 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center. Harold R. Voss, 84, of Grundy Center died June 27, 2014, from injuries suffered in a farm accident. Memorial services was be held on Thursday, July 3 at 10:30 a.m. at American Lutheran Church in Grundy Center, Pastor Luther Thoresen officiating. Burial of cremains will follow immediately after the memorial service at Rose Hill Cemetery, Grundy Center,. Curt Wilhelm, 93, known locally as Harold, passed away on May 10, 2014, in Cincinnati, Ohio. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 11 at 9 a.m. at the Rosehill Cemetery in Grundy Center, where military honors will be performed by the Grundy Center American Legion Post No. 349 and AMVETS 17. Tornado touches down near Reinbeck

   A tornado touched down just west of Reinbeck early Sunday evening and narrowly missed town. Many Reinbeck residents watched the funnel cloud pass just south of town after touching down briefly on U Avenue (County Highway T-55) and damaging three buildings, one seriously.

   There were no apparent injuries in the storms, though one apparently uninjured individual was transferred from one of the damaged homes to a relative's home by ambulance.

   More information about the storm will be printed in Thursday's Grundy Register.
